Mt. Goten, where about 600 Someiyoshino and Oshima cherry trees have been planted. When the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the entire mountain is enveloped in a pale pink color, a sight to behold. From the Sakura Suspension Bridge halfway up the mountain, you can see Suruga Bay and the Izu Peninsula through the cherry blossoms.
At the Yasaka Shrine at the foot of the mountain, the "Kambara Gotenyama Sakura Festival" is held, and you can see the cherry blossoms lit up fantastically at night.
The festival is usually held during the last week of March or the first week of April.
The view from the suspension bridge is exceptional!
This is what it looks like when it's lit up!
