Okitsu-juku Area

seikenji

Founded in the Nara period. A famous Tokaido that has a history of 1300 years. A temple associated with Takashi Ashikaga and Ieyasu Tokugawa. The precincts have been designated by the national government as a scenic spot and the garden is a scenic spot. It is also a temple once visited by many writers and poets, including Soseki Natsume, Fujimura Shimazaki, Higyu Takayama and Akiko Yosano.
