Okitsu-shuku has an old-fashioned atmosphere evoked by the many temples tied to the Tokugawa Clan, and you will find yourself at ease just walking through the town. Since the Meiji Period, vacation homes of many elder statesmen have been built here, making it famous as a place with warmer weather to spend the winter. Take a tour of Okitsu Zagyosoh, a traditional style villa that was restored in 2004, to feel the rich historic atmosphere.
